“WHY OBAMA MUST WIN…” S. C. Dixon
I have always believed it is a worse-case scenario whenever America elects a president of the same party as the majority of the house and senate. Ideally, the president would be of one team, the majority of the senate/congress of the opposition.
As a dyed-in-the-wool Independent I have to say that, although I certainly do NOT support Obama’s socialist philosophy, I believe that he must win the upcoming election.
Simply put I cannot take 4 (or
more years of liberal, leftist, weeping, tearing of clothing and gnashing of teeth.
I cannot take anymore of Keith Olbermann and Chris Mathews and the rest of the network and cable media gang pretending not to be in the Democratic tank. It is such a silly pretense.
Can you imagine, with the mindless vitriol already pitched against candidate Sarah Palin, what it would be like if she and McCain were somehow elected? Can you imagine how ineffective they would be against a pouting, once-again-defeated Democratic party?
On the other hand, so much good could come from Barry’s being elected.
For one thing it should be the end of the “Poor, poor, pitiful me, I’m Black and I deserve a handout and preferential treatment” routine.
Shut up. Get and education. Get a job. Learn to speak functional English and to dress in a socially acceptable norm.
Did I mention, “Get a job”?
You too could one day be president.
Another great point would be that Hollywood would love us again, and we all know how import that is. Alec Baldwin could move back to his native America. (I’m assuming he’s living abroad, after all, I clearly remember him threatening that he would leave the United States if George W. Bush were re-elected….)
Of course the idea of some Americans sitting on their couch thinking, “Gosh, I’m not very smart, certainly not smart enough to make my OWN decisions so I think I’ll let Oprah or Whoopie tell me who to vote for. They’re smart. They’re on TV,” is repugnant to me from the get-go. Please, DON’T vote, just stay home and watch “The View” and leave the tough decisions to those of us who can think for ourselves and who research what the candidates do and do not stand for.
And Europe would love us again, too. Of course, despite their constant whining about American prejudices I can’t think of any European country which would any more elect a black man than they would a man from Mars.
Germany? PLEASE!
Then of course there are the Brits. The all SO loved Maggie Thatcher.
They condescended that we Americans could never elect a woman as president, because we’re backwards and ignorant and, well, we’re American!
It apparently simply never occurred to them that for many Americans it wasn’t “a” woman that we were talking about with Hillary; it was “that” woman.
(Of course, in retrospect, Ms. Clinton is looking better all the time…)
Another reason to hope for a Democratic Party victory this time around is that when we mix a Marxist president with a socialist congress and senate we are surely condemning the party to its ultimate demise.
When the 20-30% of independent “neutrals” and “undecided’s” realize, a year or two into the first term, what they’ve unleashed it is going to cause a total reversal of opinion and the downfall of further socialist agendas for the next two or three generations.
They may start reading history again and learn that remarks such as Obama made to a plumber (“Joe”) at a rally on October 13, 2008 saying, in effect, that he wanted more taxes in order to “spread the money around” is straight from the pen of Karl Marx. Read Das Kapital.
I read it in the 60’s and thought it was pretty cool, redistributing wealth and all. I read it again in the 80’s and thought to myself, “Gee, just how young and STUPID was I?”
Something else that will happen after the election is, as usual, the liberal press will eat its own. Just like it did to Queen Hillary. Remember, she was an “unstoppable” source, she was anointed, couldn’t be beat. Until the media turned on her.
Once Obama has had a short honeymoon the press will begin deconstructing him. They will do then what they should be doing now, examining his philosophy which has been well documented in two autobiographies. They will look at his friends, cronies, and associates and finally, when it’s too late, see them for what they are.
And they—the media—will be blameless. They will point their collective finger at the American public for the mess we’re in and finally, hopefully, that same public will recognize the press for what they are, self-aggrandizing snakes in the grass who pull the strings and make the policy. Perhaps, finally, they will fall from the dizzying heights we’ve elevated them to, along with their Hollywood sycophants, and Americans will turn away from them once and for all.
And that is why Obama must win.
